In 12 days she will become a wife. A WIFE! Holy moly. It feels so weird to think that she will have a husband and live 2 hours away. She won't be in the same town anymore for a last minute dinner or crafting session.
Anyone that knows me knows I am not good with change. Growing up, really, is hard to do. Letting go is even harder.
In a few short days, my bestie will go from all mine to someones spouse. Though I am over the moon happy for her and this amazing love she found - part of me, albeit the selfish part, is sad not to have her all to myself.
I digress, back to this weekend. Saturday afternoon a beautiful shower was thrown for Leslie and followed almost immediately by her bachelorette party thrown by yours truly.
Leslie is an easy girl to celebrate! Not only is she fun and always smiling she's so appreciative of anything anyone does for her and this special occasion.
We started with dinner at Mi Cocina... have you been there? If you haven't go now - run - its amaaaazing! After a fabulous dinner and drinks we headed to Amanda's apartment for dessert, presents, and girl talk! It was low key and perfect for Leslie.
This weekend was fast but so fun. Celebrating people you love always makes for a well spent weekend

looks like one fabulous weekend to me...so much fun, a shower and bach party all in one day??? YIPPEE!!!! she is lucky to have you my dear ;)
Such a fun day of celebrations! Bittersweet to share your friend with a spouse, but this is only the beginning to a new and many times more meaningful chapter of your friendship. Enjoy these last few days before the big wedding!
That. Cake. Looks. Amazing.
Great pictures! I think I have the white top you are wearing... is it tunic length?
That cake looks AMAZZZZZZING!!! And I know exactly how you feel about change. I'm the same way. My older sister got married last month and moved 3 hours away with her new husband. It's been a really hard transition for us because I was used to seeing her 1-2 a week. Have fun at the wedding!
wow girl looks like such a fun time! i love all your pictures :) if you're interested I'm giving away a Starbucks Gift Card on my blog :) come check it out!
what a beautiful shower! and that cake looks DIVINE! did it taste as good as it looks?

Argh! I am JEALOUS! My friend just got married on Friday (just posted the pics this morning on the bloggy) and not only did I get dubbed photographer, but Maid of Honor too. She won't ever read this, so let me vent [scream]. I wanted to kill her the whole time. Seriously. Fantasies about knives and baseball bats danced in my head while I slept, I swear. (Not sugarplums LOL) While she claims it was 3 months, this whole shindig was put together in 5 weeks, and I was elected to the position of MOH and photog at the 4 week mark when I was already fully booked. I threw her bridal shower (which was martha stewart to the nines), (thank god only)helped with the bachelorette, shot her engagement and a bunch of other stuff. I didn't get to enjoy any of it, and she was so disorganized and never knew what was going on. Her shower was beautiful, but I am just SO JEALOUS looking at this beautiful, wonderful shower you had with/for your friend here! That's the experience I wanted... instead it was a mad dash of non stop adrenaline trying to get everything done in time when I didn't have any time to spare to begin with.
Grrrrrr.
I hope her wedding is just as wonderful and laid back and calm as the shower and my dear I hope you ate that whole cake because I"m ready to dive through the computer for it!
Gosh that cake!!!! I had to stop and look at it for a few seconds. Amazing!
